Founded in 2016 by owner and Master Distiller Neil Harrison, Nelson’s is a small-batch distillery located in the picturesque Staffordshire countryside. With its state-of-the-art 150-litre copper still, “Victory” (aptly named after HMS Victory), Nelson’s produces high-quality, award-winning spirits, quality controlled by Neil himself.

Nelson’s was born out of a hobby. Bored with retirement, Neil – a chef by trade – tried his hand at distilling. Using his refined palate and in-depth knowledge of flavour profiles, he developed a recipe that was put to the test at a gin school not too dissimilar to our own. After seven visits – each time creating seven different gins – and over a year of intense product development, Neil perfected his renowned blend of 27 botanicals, known today as Nelson’s London Dry No. 7. This secret recipe forms the base of all Nelson’s core gins.

Wanting to share his knowledge and let others experience the joy of distilling, Neil opened Nelson’s Gin, Vodka & Rum School. This unique learning, teaching, and tasting academy invites guests to immerse themselves in the rich history of these beloved spirits while unleashing their inner artisan. With a diverse selection of botanicals, fruits, and spices at their fingertips, they can craft a signature blend that perfectly matches their unique taste.
