About
Spode was one of the most important factories from the Industrial Revolution and the birthplace of bone china. The Heritage Centre is located at the former Spode factory site and visitors can learn about the history of the factory, see displays of fine ceramics and archival films, watch demonstrations of transfer printing, hand painting and raised paste gilding; visit the world famous Blue Room, enjoy browsing around the large shopping area and relax with tea and cake in the Blue Willow Tea Room at the end of the visit.
Group Trips
Group trips and Coach parties are welcome by prior appointment. Admission to the Centre is free, however small charges per head may apply or a donation to the Centre will be appreciated in respect of guided visits to the Blue Room, tours of the factory site with special demonstrators, speakers and for refreshments. Please contact the Heritage Centre to discuss requirements
