Ilam

About

The idyllic village of Ilam in the Staffordshire Peak District has Swiss style cottages, a Gothic mansion and an interesting church. The restored cross in the centre of the village is said to be one of the finest Gothic revival monuments in the country. Although Ilam Hall is now a Youth Hostel you can explore Ilam Park; enjoy sweepin views, walk through woodland, admire the Italian Garden and discover wildlife on the river banks. Picnic in the spacious grounds; take a break in the charming Manifold Tea Room or browse in the shop.

You can easily walk from Ilam Park to nearby Dovedalem both National Trust Estates.
