About
Practise your victory roll or Churchill’s Victory V as we celebrate all things 1940s and the outcome of our 4-year Women’s Land Army project.
Enjoy a day of free activities inside and outside the Foxlowe.
At the back their will be period tractors and cars and a Blacksmith giving demonstrations.
Expect bunting, big band sounds, boogie woogie, period vehicles and costumes, jive lessons… and perhaps spam fritters?
The dance starts at 7:00pm with free admission, so get your best 1940s rig out of the wardrobe and dress to impress!
The Swinging Woodpeckers band provide the music; Come and show us your Jive, smooch to a lovely Waltz, or just come and strut your stuff in your own way. They really knew how to enjoy themselves in that era with some super tunes, so come along and join in.
