About
YHA’s Festival of Walking
A short walk on firm and purpose-built paths around Ilam Park led by Access the Dales. Mobility scooters will be available to use.
There is also an option to extend it to make a circular walk, but this involves a climb up a rough track and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Access the Dales volunteers will support participants throughout the day and a Changing Places toilet is available off the courtyard outside the hostel. Refreshments will be provided by the National Trust.
Access the Dales is a voluntary organisation that enables disabled people and others who may face barriers to enjoy the countryside. Through accessible outdoor activities, specialist equipment, trained volunteers and partnership working.
Sheffield Environmental Movement (SEM) works with diverse Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee community groups and organisations across Sheffield, supporting participation in a wide range of outdoor environmental activities and experiences.
