MYTHS, LEGENDS AND TALES
is presented by Giulia Contaldo who is a virtuoso pianist and who is supported by the Keyboard Trust. She is an Italian/American pianist who came to international attention when she stepped in at the last minute to play Schumann's Piano Concerto at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, broadcast live by BBC Radio 3. She has received numerous international prizes.
Giulia believes that myths provide stories that hold significance across different cultures and generations. Her programme modernises ancient tales through music, exploring their emotional depth.The programme for this concert features selections from her 2025 debut CD "METOPES" released by Da Vinci Publishing.
She will be playing pieces by Debussy, Liszt,, Gluck and Szymanowski.
