LEEK TEXTILE WEEK

Discover the ancient craft of drop-spinning yarn from wool fibre; take home your little hank of hand-spun thread plus your own spindle. We’ll cover fibre prep techniques (hand-carding, drum-carding, combing, flick-carding) plus learn hands-on drop-spinning from prepared wool tops. There will be a demo of spinning silk and blending fibres and colours plus you’ll learn plying and how to wash and set the yarn.
