The Main dressing is on the Village Green at the junction of Woodhouse Lane and New Street.

Also several small dressings on Chapel Green, at the side of Hot Lane near the Methodist Church.

Over the past thirteen years the well dressing has turned into an important village event involving all generations and interests, combining the ancient traditions of well dressing, Maypole Dancing, a tractor display, rural displays and lively competitions with a rich variety of stalls and refreshments thrown in, all enhanced by an amazing range of live music.

There will be something for everyone.

Underlying it all, tucked away in a quiet little field is the head of the River Trent, reminding ourselves of the once almost sacred quality of the well, the natural environment and the community in which we live.
