LEEK TEXTILE WEEK

In this workshop: You will have a variety of Wardle and Morris pattern designs to inspire you and ignite ideas. You’ll learn how a simple technique forms a repeating pattern and get hands-on straight away with poly print to test your ideas. Then you’ll be guided in carving a small lino block, finally inking up the block and repeat printing your pattern onto paper and calico. Becca will explain and instruct to the class, plus give one-to-one support and handouts to guide and remind you. You’ll take home your initial ideas, proof prints and your beautiful repeated pattern, plus a sense of connection to the textile designers and printers of Leek’s past.
