About

Join our brilliant volunteers to discover the heritage of Cannock Chase.

The walk starts near to the first tee of the original 9-hole golf course with an introductory talk. Following the course of the first fairway we cross over the site of the military railway that joined Milford and Hednesford via the Great War training camps at Brocton and Rugeley to explore the rest of the original course as it criss-crosses the line of rail giving extensive views of the surrounding countryside and a visit to the rock cottage.

The walk is approximately two miles long and will last about 2 hours, it is not too muddy but suitable footwear should be worn.
