About
Failed bank and train robber Elmer McCurdy did little to distinguish himself in life; death, however, was a different matter. It was as a corpse that Elmer’s career really took off.
In a self-written show and accompanying collection, prize-winning poet John Lindley tells the unbelievable (but true!) story of Elmer McCurdy’s 60 year career in death across the fairgrounds, movie theatres and arcades of 20th century America. Come along to a bizarre presentation of stories, poems and songs to a backdrop of sinister, salacious and sensational projected film and images. Not for the faint-hearted!
“Lindley uses wordplay like gunplay.”
"Wonderful! Gothic in its subject matter, bleakly humorous, but shot through with compassion and a certain empathy."
Admission is £8 which includes a signed complementary copy of Dead Men Tell Tales (priced at £8!) or the option of another of John's collections.
