An image of Clarice Cliff with her family

About

A special talk by Ben Miller about the life of artist Clarice Cliff.
Local art is bound up with the pottery industry and the Burslem School of Art.
Clarice Cliff was the celebrated creator of the iconic Bizarre Ware in the 1920s. She lived in Clayton in her later life. Her cutting-edge designs spawned countless imitations. Her fascinating life story is told in recent film The Colour Room, which you can see at the Brampton Museum this month (scroll down to book).
