To celebrate this summer's Festival of Archaeology, Derbyshire Scouts are holding a live dig in Ilam's parkland on 18 and 19 July.

Discover the hidden history beneath your feet. See real finds being uncovered, cleaned and recorded, and chat with the young archaeologists as they explore Ilam Park's past.

There'll be plenty of hands-on activities for all ages too, including replica Roman pottery handling, clay pot making and mini excavations for budding archaeologists. Plus, don't miss the guided test pit tours throughout the weekend.
