From Matteo Garrone comes this Academy Award nominated tale of the migration of two Senegalese teenagers from Africa to Europe. Leaving Dakar on an odyssey traversing city, desert and ocean, experiencing the dangers and beauty of the desert, they face the shock of detention centres in Libya, and the perils of the sea in their pursuit of a better life. A story of epic scale but which doesn’t lose sight of the individual human issues at the heart  of the migrant crisis, aided by a terrific lead performance and a script informed by first hand migrant accounts.
