About
a.k.a. The Silver Glades Cemetery Avoidance Band and and featuring Pete Bullock on bass (ex-Albion Band), Derek Pearce (Derbyshire's Roaring Jelly) on percussion, and Terry Loane (ex Widdershins) on keys, The Excelsior echoes back several decades when they backed the likes of Alison McMorland with her 'Funny Family' children's songs album.
This one-off show is something of a reunion, and definitely 'a bit of a do' to celebrate the season. And mostly, it's a dance night! That includes anything they can play, which is boundless. Expect a smattering of barn dances, ceilidhs, interspersed with selections from the American Songbook,, foxtrots, quicksteps, waltzes, the Twist, Jive, a line dance and maybe even The Birdie Song. Well, maybe not The Birdie Song.
