Tamworth Castle Grounds
History comes to life! As part of Tamworth's Athelstan 1100 week, on 25 & 26 July, the castle grounds will be transformed into a living window into the past. Authentic Anglo-Saxon and Viking encampments will showcase the skills, crafts and traditions of the early medieval world, allowing visitors to discover how people lived, worked, travelled and traded more than a thousand years ago.
