LEEK TEXTILE WEEK

Join local historian Cathryn Walton on a guided walk around Leek’s former Silk and Textile Mills. Discover impressive architecture and hear about the mill owners and the people who worked in their mills, who were twisters, doublers, winders, spoolers, weavers etc. See weavers shades (garrets) and sites of the twisting shades too.

 

This walk and talk will be split into three sessions: Monday 23rd September 2-3.30pm, Thursday 26 September 10-11.30am, Sunday 29 September.  10-11.30am
