About
We are inviting local residents to drop in and share their memories of mining in the town. Whether you’ve worked in the mining industry, have family ties to it, or simply hold fond memories, we want to hear from you.
This project is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Biddulph's mining heritage, and your stories are a crucial part of this narrative.
We aim to uncover untold stories, particularly those of the individuals and communities who played a vital role in Biddulph's mines. Feel free to bring along any objects or images that might spark further recollections. Volunteers are available to help you share your oral history.
All information shared will be meticulously recorded, documented, and archived for future generations to enjoy.
You will also have the opportunity to search for your family's ancestry with support from Biddulph Local People’s Group - FREE
Can’t make it to the event? No problem! You can still contribute by:
Email: office@biddulph-tc.gov.uk
Call: 01782 498480 or fill in one of the forms and we’ll call you.
Let’s come together to celebrate Biddulph’s mining heritage and ensure these memories live on for years to come.
Whilst you are here, there will also be an opportunity to research your family history for free with the kind support of the Biddulph Local People's Group.
