LEEK TEXTILE WEEK
A participatory exploration of clothing and nature taking place at the Roaches.
Join Ecological Design Consultant Kate Fletcher to investigate the ways in which clothes can distance or bring us closer to natural systems, and what sensory research and practices of noticing can teach us about the places in which we live and new types of clothing knowledge in the climate and ecological emergencies. We will share stories of fashion beyond shopping for new clothes and start to mend disconnections from nature through shifts in experience and perspective.
We will walk, discuss and explore together and spend some time alone in the woods and boulders of the Roaches. For those with access needs, please note that parts of this event will be off the gravel track.
Please dress appropriately for the changeable September weather, bearing in mind that it might be both wet and muddy.
