New Temporary Exhibition Alan Fernihough's Pictures of Uttoxeter's Past

About

Visit us to see our latest temporary exhibition, featuring paintings of scenes from Uttoxeter by local artist Alan Fernihough.

Alan grew up on a farm in rural Derbyshire and, after attending Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, went on to study at Derby College of Art. After gaining his Diploma, Alan worked for several agencies as a graphic designer before later becoming an art tutor in a high-security prison.

Following his retirement, Alan was able to pursue his passion for art further. He decided to run art classes in Ashbourne and Uttoxeter, while also producing artworks inspired by the local area.

Our latest exhibition features Alan's original artwork, with prints available to purchase.

Entry is free, but hurry – the exhibition ends in January!
