Secretly living alone since her beloved mum died, Georgie, a resourceful 12-year-old, believes she can get by on her own – pretending to authorities that she lives with an uncle. When her absent father, Jason, turns up unexpectedly, she’s forced to confront reality. As they both adjust, Georgie and Jason find that they have a lot of growing up to do.
