STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS WALKING FESTIVAL 2024

Meet at 9.45am for a 10am start at the traditional Churnet Valley Railway Station.

We then head up through open countryside to Butter Cross prior to reaching our favourite spot; the RSPB Nature Reserve with time for a break at the Buzzard bench. With pretty woodland, trickling brooks and peaceful pathways this is a walk for true tranquillity. 

This route is less walked as no dogs are allowed in the RSPB Nature Reserve, so it is renown for peace and opportunities to catch wildlife in their natural habitat. 

We return to the station with an opportunity to take photos of the diesel engines and enjoy refreshment by the Caldon Canal.
