STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS WALKING FESTIVAL 2024

What a way to celebrate Staffordshire Day, than with this exploration of Seven Wonders of the Roaches, with qualified and experienced Hill and Moorlands leaders, Emily Taylor of Peak Outdoor Coaching and Austin Knott of Walk the Moorlands, accompanied by local Moorlands Radio DJ, Ian Kendrick. 

Together we'll seek out our wonders of the Roaches, well as many as we can find on and around the imposing and iconic gritstone ridge. The walk will be about 5 miles (8km) or thereabouts, some of it away from public rights of way, so good walking boots or walking shoes are required.

Discover tales of malevolent mythical mermaids, the healing properties of a mysterious rock, tales of local ne'er-do-wells, shape shifting witches, Australian airmen and more. Topped off with a group photo, plenty of fresh air and some fabulous views.

And perhaps a cheeky drink after the walk !
