Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival 2025

Forestry England will be joining the Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival with an informative and inspiring Ranger Guided Walk in Dimmingsdale, Alton. 

Join Forestry England’s National Forest & North Staffordshire Rangers  as we follow a 4.5 mile leisurely stroll through Dimmingsdale Valley. 

Hear how Forestry England look after Dimmingsdale and other woodlands in the Churnet Valley for people, wildlife, timber and the climate; looking at recent work completed in the valley,  what makes Dimmingsdale and the Churnet Valley so special, the importance of volunteers and the local community and how you can get involved.  An easy walk with some steep paths and uneven surfaces.
