Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival 2026

Join us on a guided walk of a former Polish resettlement camp. Explore the remains of huts which were the homes of Polish families fro 15 years and hear the stories from members of the local Polish community who grew up there.

1 to 2 miles - Lesiurely

Please dress for uneven, muddy terrain and all weathers. Most of the route is farmland which is uneven underfoot and slippery in wet weather.  We will be a couple of hours where there are no toilets. If hot, please ensure you have sun cream and plenty to drink. Mixed terrain – some rough areas under foot – walking shoes/boots recommended. 

Parking is limited – so please car share where you can or use public transport as below.  It is advised to park at Blackshaw Farm, ST13 8TS (parking area just past the cattle grid).
