Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival 2026

This is a Peak District Ranger walk through different habitats listening to the bird species found in each habitat. We will pass a reservoir, river, woodland areas, moorland and farmland. We will walk quietly listening for bird song along the way. Enjoy the birdsong and learn how to identify which birds you're listening to.

Please bring binoculars!

Grade: Moderate: sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.

Terrain: Some steep ascents, uneven ground and stiles. There may be livestock present and it could be very muddy.
