Marking the 150th anniversary of the photographer William Blake's birth in 1874, Jon Heal will give an account of his life using many of his own images. His mother grew up in Newcastle-under-Lyme before sailing to New York to get married. After a family tragedy brought her back to England, the family eventually returned to North Staffs in 1900, when Mr Blake began a remarkable visual record of the area for the rest of his life.
