In 2025, Skids frontman Richard Jobson brings The Armory Show back into the spotlight with a new album Dead Souls after a near 40 year absence:

Originally formed in 1983 after The Skids disbanded The Armory Show brought together former members of The Skids (Richard Jobson, Russel Webb) with former members of Magazine (John McGeoch, John Doyle). Between ’84 and ’87 they released a string of singles and the album ‘Waiting For The Floods” before disbanding to pursue other interests.

The Armory Show re-emerge with a new line-up, new songs and a live show that delivers a mix of new material and familiar tunes from Jobson’s entire back catalogue.

“It’s a new band, a fresh sound, and an opportunity to be creative, without any of the outside pressures that destroyed the original band. I love the freedom this project allows me, there are no expectations, only a chance to do something entirely different from the Skids and present another version of how we see and hear the world around us.”

Support on the night comes from Stoke-on-Trent’s self-styled ‘trash-city rockers. ZipStyle. Faithfully recreating the photo-punk sound, somewhere between, The 101ers, Johnny Thunders and The Damned.
