The Festival of Brilliant returns to Biddulph Old Hall on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July 2026 and tickets are now live! 

As part of the National Year of Reading, OUTSIDE is going all in on books, stories and imagination, making National Storytelling Week the perfect time to launch the Festival of Brilliant, our children’s book festival celebrating creativity and storytelling.

This year’s National Storytelling Week theme is Soundtrack Your Story, exploring the magic of storytelling through music, lyrics and sound. We’ll be marking it by sharing something special each day this week from the OUTSIDE team and our fantastic Festival of Brilliant Steering Group.

From the stories that shaped our childhoods to the sounds and songs that brought books to life, we can’t wait to celebrate storytelling with you all week long
