About

Breakaway is a group of 10 members from Cheshire and Staffordshire. The group has been together for 12 years, over which time members have developed their individual textile interests and skills. Our work is mainly with fabric and stitch, but often includes mixed media and paper. A variety of materials are explored as research develops and inspiration grows. During our time together we have exhibited widely in Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.

For this exhibition the theme of Underfoot was chosen.  This has enabled a wide variety of interpretations from the shoes we wear on our feet to the surfaces we find at our feet, both above and below ground.
