About
As part of the BBC 'Art That Made Us Festival' we will using the poems of local poet Nancy Foster, 'The Coal Miner' and 'Cannock Chase' for a creative family workshop at the Museum of Cannock Chase.
In the morning we will make a underground coal mining scene on canvas using charcoal and tissue papers.
Please bring a packed lunch with you and suitable walking shoes.
After lunch we will walk over Hednesford Hills to collect natural materials to weave into our overground scene.
All the finished pieces will come together to make one big montage, reflecting the changing face of the local environment, to be photographed. Then everyone will take their two individual pieces home.
