VE - Day 81 Exhibition

About

This exhibition is the launch event for our Souvenir Edition of the Cheadle and Tean Times. The printing of this special publication has been funded by our grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and produced in association with OUTSIDE, with kind permission from Paul Campbell and Cheadle and Tean Times Ltd.

During the event there will be an opportunity to speak to members of our group about our project. On display will be a selection of WW2 memorabilia/artefacts, Spitfire & Motor Torpedo Boat models provided by the U3A Model Club and historical displays relating to Cheadle during WW2.

A talk titled ‘The Second Word War – Evacuation and Days of Prayer’ will be given by Paul Lucas, starting at 1.30pm. (there is no need to book for this, but arriving early is recommended).

The commemoration of VE-Day continues in the evening at St. Giles the Abbot with a Fish and Chip supper and VE Day concert.

Please contact the church directly regarding these details.

Booking ahead is required for the food, the concert is £9 per ticket (no food) just turn up!
