The Yugen Saxophone Quartet are an upcoming and award winning quartet who specialise in exploring a diverse repertoire. They formed in November 2020 and are alumni from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. They have performed at a variety of events and have won competitions from the Sylvia Cleaver Prize in 2021 and the Andrew Downes Prize in 2022.
They have also released their debut album "Origins" in Jan 2022 which received high acclaim.
They are:
Ewan Wright (Soprano Sax)
Emily Plumb (Tenor Sax)
Nicole Micheli (Alto Sax)
Alicia Hillman (Baritone Sax)
They are four unique Saxophonists using their shared passion for chamber music to form an exciting and vibrant ensemble.
